Please read the following rules and regulations that govern your rental and or request to use Normal Lodge for your event. This information is provided as a reference only. It is also included in our rental agreement contract along with additional information.
GENERAL HALL RULES:
NO OPEN FLAME is allowed in the building at any time during your rental.
No smoking is permitted inside the building. Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas outside of the building.
A walkthrough of the building before and after each event will be done with both parties to ensure everything has been cleaned, replaced, & returned to its proper location.
A designated representative from Normal Lodge will be on-site during every event. Questions or concerns during your event should be directed to this representative. Never assume or take any issue into “your hands”. Always make sure the building representative is notified of any issues as soon as possible.
Extremely loud music or over the top behavior is not permitted in any way.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times when in the building or outside on the premises. Children are not allowed to run free in the building at any time. Children must be supervised at all times, even when outside on the premises. The Lessee will be given only one warning to rectify this issue. If children continue to run free or are unsupervised, they may be asked to leave the event and NOT return. Continued disregard for this rule and entire event may be cancelled with no refunds.
All activities must conform to all local, state, and federal laws. Anyone found performing illegal or immoral activity on the premises or in the building may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Local law enforcement agencies will conduct a thorough investigation on any complaints are unlawful activities.
Door fees, entry fees, admission fees, or the like are strictly prohibited.
Only the plastic dining room tables and chairs are allowed to be moved. All other furniture, including the theatre chairs along the wall and the piano, must remain as they were and shall not be moved without prior written approval from the Lodge rental agent.
NO nails, tacks, thumbnails, staples or other devices of similar nature can be used to hang items on the wall of the exterior or interior of the building. NO tape of any kind can be used.
No confetti of any kind can be used during your event.
All tables & chairs are returned to their proper place – unless other arrangements have been made.
All floors are swept and if needed mopped. If the kitchen was used for any food prep or heating, the kitchen floor must be swept and mopped prior to final walkthrough, unless other arrangements have been made prior to your event with the lodge representative.
All lights must be turned off and no water should be left running in the kitchen or bathrooms.
Maximum occupancy for the Normal Masonic Lodge is not to exceed 100 persons an any given time. The total number of persons attending any event must be kept to or less 100 persons in order to comply with fire and county/city regulations. Lessee exceeding the maximum number of people allowed in the building at any given time will be asked to remove the number of people needed to drop below the 100-person limit, or your event will be terminated and you will be removed from the property immediately.
Both female and male restrooms must be swept and properly cleaned. Toilets must be flushed if used, waste paper must be removed and disposed of properly.
No animals of any kind are allowed in the building, with the exception of service animals. Excepts to this rule may include a zookeeper attending an event and have trained personnel available to handle animals. Domesticated pets are not allowed in the building, and should always be on a lease and supervised at all times when outdoors on the premises. Service animals should always wear proper identification or other markings that show the animal is indeed a service animal. Those service animals that don’t have the required markings or proper attire, renter must carry with them proper documentation allowing them to use this animal as such.
At no time can any of the buildings entry/exit doors be “propped” open. The building has a heating and cooling system that can be used to raise and lower the buildings temperature at any given time. Propping entry doors open will allow bugs or unwanted pests into the building, and also creates a security risk for your event.
The parties understand and agree that there is to be no alcohol brought onto the Lodge property at any point in time. A failure to follow this rule will result in an immediate termination of the event without refund.
